STATEMENT OF FAITH

OUR MISSION:

The combined mission of Don and Theresa Westbrook, Pearls Of Shalom Ministries, and the Time with Theresa Around the World, TV-Radio-Podcast is simple. We seek to love and lead people to hope, healing, and redemption that can only be found in our Lord Jesus Christ. We are committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, ministry resources, and Christian programming on every attainable platform worldwide.

We Believe:
We believe in the doctrines of Christ supported in scriptures Hebrews 6:1-3.
(Repentance, Faith in God, Baptisms, Laying on of hands, Resurrection of the dead, and Eternal judgment.)

We believe and hold fast to a Biblical worldview and seek to share God’s truths through hearts of loving compassion without compromising God’s Holy Word.

The Bible:

The entire Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Words of God. The New Testament reveals and provides redemption and better promises through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. God’s Holy Word is the highest authority for humanity.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21)

One True God:

There is only one true God eternally existent as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-11, Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 3:22, Colossians 2:9-10)

God the Creator of All:

God is the one and only authority and divine creator of humanity and of everything that exists.
(Genesis 1:1-31, Romans 1:20, Revelation 4:11)

Jesus Christ:

Is God made flesh and the son of God. Scriptures support the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutional death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father, and His soon-coming personal return in power and glory.
(John 1:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:31-32, Acts 10:37-38, Acts 2:22, Hebrews 7:26-27, 1 Corinthians 15:3-5, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Matthew 28:6, 1 Corinthians 15:4-6, Acts 1:9-11, Philippians 2:9-11, Hebrews 1:3)

Salvation:

We are all sinners in need of a Savior. Man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin, resulting in his spiritual death, which is separation from God. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross made a way for salvation and reconciliation with God. It is a free gift to whoever sincerely believes, receives, and confesses the finished work of Jesus Christ upon the cross.
(Romans 3:23-24, Genesis 3:23-24, John 3:16, Acts 2:21, Acts 4:11-12)

Repentance:

Repentance is asking God for the forgiveness of our sins.  It is surrendering our hearts to God and inviting Him to rule and reign in our hearts and lives.

(Acts 2:36-38, 1 John 1:9, Luke 13:3, Matthew 3:8, Matthew 4:17, Luke 5:31-32)

Baptism of the Holy Spirit:

Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of sinful mankind; a person must experience a spiritual rebirth. Only through the power of the Holy Spirit is the believer able to live an overcoming Christian life. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of Truth and indwells, guides, instructs, and empowers the believer with gifts and the fruit of the Spirit for Godly living and service.
(Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 2:11, Romans 8:16, Ephesians 4:24, Titus 2:12, John 16:13, Acts 2: 4, Acts 2:38, 1 Corinthians 12, Galatians 5:22-23)

Water Baptism:

Believers are to be buried (immersed) in water to the glory of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is an outward expression of an inward revelation of what Jesus Christ has done for our redemption.
(1 Peter 3:21, Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38, Acts 19:4-6)

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is returning soon.
(Matthew 24:30, Revelation 1:7, Acts 1:11)

The Great Commission:

Jesus Christ gave believers, (the church) instructions to go into the entire world and preach the full Gospel to every person.
(Mark 16:15-16, Luke 14:23, Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:7-8)

Unity of Christians:

Spiritual unity of Christians can be found through the working of the Holy Spirit and under the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. We should build relationships with other Christian believers within the Christian community that profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior but may have different doctrinal beliefs or cultural ways of worship.
(Psalm 133:1, Mark 9: 38-41, Philippians 2:1-3)

Christian Compassion:

Sharing loving compassion for the hurts and needs of our fellowmen.

(Colossians 3:12-14, Romans 15:1-2, Matthew 25:37-40)

Holy Marriage:

The sacred union of marriage between one man and one woman.
(Genesis 2:18-25, Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:21-33)

Sanctification:

Can only be found in the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Sanctification continues as an ongoing process of  yielding to God’s Word and His Holy Spirit. Part of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to create in us the character and nature of Christ. Born-again Christians should seek to depart from sin and seek to live a lifestyle that brings glory to God and honor to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

(Colossians 2:9-10, Ephesians 6:7-8, Romans 6:1-4, 2 Corinthians 5:17)

VALUES:
Our core values and priorities are God, family, and country. We love America and stand with Israel.
